Lewis and Clark

Our latest litter from Grace consisted of a couple of rambunctious little boys my husband named Lewis and Clark.  Sorry, but they are already spoken for and will be going home with their new adoptive parents in May.

Grace, as usual, has been a wonderful mother finding that fine balance between caring and training her young sons in the ways of the world.  The photo below is an illustration of this.  Little Clark was getting one of his regular baths and was having a great time lightly slapping his mother's face while she was doing it.  Grace just winced and went back to trying to keep her kid clean.  Meanwhile, Lewis was having dinner.

Happy Easter

In order to wish our friends a Happy Easter, I decided to take a photo of Han with rabbit ears on.  It was very clear that Han was extremely insulted by this idea.  I believe you can read his mind with just one look at this photo.  Han does enjoy mugging for the camera - though he was genuinely indignant about this pose.  To see one of the outtakes from his first kitten photo session, take a look at October 2007 News.

Harry Gets Clicker Trained

In early March, I took Amy's two boys, William and Harry (see January 2008 News) to their first cat show in Chicago.  There was a very nice lady there named Samantha demonstrating how to clicker train cats.  When she saw William and Harry she made a beeline to their show cage as she said she had always wanted a Russian Blue.  In no time, Harry was clicker trained to do a a "High Five."  Then she decided to use Harry to demonstrate this training on the CFA agility course - with a crowd of 50 to 60 people watching.  Harry loved it! He only stopped once or twice to approvingly survey his audience.  If you would like to learn more about Samantha and her Acro-Cats go to www.amazinganimals.biz.
